Don't let this photo fool you, this is one lip smacking taste fest! Stir fried beef with Chinese 5 spice, veggies and noodles, hell yeah!
It's a quick one too, so it's easy to make during the week when you are juggling work and kids.
Ingredients
350g thin cut steak
3tbs cornflour
2tbsp Chinese 5 spice
100ml vegetable oil
1 red pepper sliced
1 red chilli thinly sliced
4 spring onions, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
4tbsp white wine vinegar
1tbsp soy sauce
2tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2tbsp ketchup
Noodles
Put the beef in a bowl and toss in corn flour and 5 spice. Heat oil in a wok and add the beef and fry until golden and crisp. Take out and drain on kitchen paper.
Add the pepper, chilli, spring onion and garlic to the pan. Stir fry till soft and add in the sauces and vinegar and 2 spoons of vinegar and mix.
Add the beef back to the pan and stir to coat. Cook noodles according to the instructions. Serve.
