So apart from work, which is probably a bit boring to you I have had a fun few weekends. Two weeks ago TBM and I went to Manly’s North Heads again to do another walk, this time we found the information office (which we had managed to walk right past time...) and got a map so had a better idea of where to go.
We went into one of the cemeteries up there, which might seem a bit strange but it was quite beautiful. It’s pretty old, turn of last century and was very over grown with wild flowers which added to the beauty. The people buried there died from contagious diseases like small pox and there was one stone that really tugged at my heart. It was for a nurse who had caught smallpox while treating her patients and the stone had been put up for her by those she had tended to.
After a bit more jazz, some of it good, some of it that crazy free from stuff that makes you want to stick your fingers in your ears, we made our way home to feel a little bit smug about our cultural outing!
This weekend looks like it's going to be grey and wet so no walks or cultural outings are going to happen. Maybe I'll get on with the craft projects I have sitting so I can share them with you next week...
