What I don't do is touch other people's washing. Whenever we have anyone stay with us it's specified at the outset, feel free to use the machine, but don't ask me to help out with that job, your own your own. But why this resistance to help my nearest and dearest to stay clean and fresh? I'll tell you, the thought of touching anyone's under crackers gives me the heebie geebies. I'm sure I'm not alone in this but it's not really a topic of conversation over coffee, "how's work going, oh and by the way does touching your other people's underpants make you squirm out of your skin?'.
Staying with family I have realised this phobia runs deeper than my handling someone's smalls, I don't want other people to touch my washing either! You would think I would jump at the chance of ditching this chore while on holiday, but I'm holding on to it tighter than a life raft from the Titanic.
I think it's because your undies are such intimate things, you don't show them to people so why let them touch them? Please tell me I'm not alone in this, or, if I am, that you have strange phobia's to keep mine company!
