I have been looking forward to this since we decided to head home to show the Bean off. Once we hit Christmas the days just flew by and before we knew it we were at the airport hoping we packed all the things we would need for the flight.
The flight went way better than we thought it would, The Bean slept for quite a bit of the first leg of the journey then was really well behaved the rest of the time. We were greeted by both sets of grandparents when we got out of arrivals and then headed to my parents.
This week has been tough, Jet lag and getting a baby back on daytime hours left me exhausted, but an early night on Friday (6.50!) recharged my batteries ready to catch up with heaps of friends when we head to TBM's parents next week.
Well, new boots. I have been hanging out for a new pair of boots for a couple of years and I got these beauties the first day we were back. Jet lagged shopping is not a good idea generally, but I had spied them online and they had a pair in my size in the shop. Rather than miss out I grabbed them with both hands and sprinted to the checkout. So glad I got them, they have adorned my legs ever since!
New Nephew!
No photo's here, I'm not sure if my bro wants me posting photos of the wee man on tinternet, but take it from me, he's a cutie pie! We did a round trip of 4 hours to see the little fella for about 30 minutes each and it was worth every minute for those newborn cuddles.
Much happier about the photos this week, I took my time and really thought about the prompts which I think shows in the images.
I love the duckies and the photo of the Bean, but was surprised when my photo of the sun (which was a quick and uninspired snap) got 111 likes!
Missed day 19 and 20 with traveling to the UK, I'm not going to cry about it but will make sure I take my photos in advance for flying back to Scotland. I've also lost day 18 boooo.
Out of them all day 17 is my favourite. The Bean sitting amusing himself, totally unaware that I was taking his photo. One to print and keep I think.
