Some days I get heaps done, others I'm so tired I crawl into bed and have a nap myself! I have been managing pretty well but with our inlaws visiting in October I want to get the house ship shape which means a few more jobs added to the list. While managing my normal day to day stuff is under control these extra jobs will take a bit of organsing so I am pullling out the big guns. The List! Yes that is a list with a capital L.
I have used the Pomodoro Technique in the past to get work completed, and this is just going to be an extended version of it. With the Pomodoro you give yourself 25 minutes to complete a task, I'm hoping I have a bit more time than that (but you never know with the Bean).
So what am I going to try to achieve in the next 4 weeks? I have 3 big jobs:
Weeding - a job I hate but needs to be done. I think the way to go here is to do 10 minutes a day, won't kill my bakc or make me want to throw my hands in the air and give up.
The spare room - it's not looking too bad as my parents were here a few weeks ago, but there is a heap of washing being ignored and it could do with the sheets freshened and a general spruce up.
The kitchen - it is a bombsite - craft projects, cook books and other debris litter ever available surface. It's a priority along with cleaning the fridge and the cupboard that seems to be stuffed with junk, you know what I mean, I bet you have one too!
Today I'm making a start, I might even take some photos to show you how I go.
First thing is to make a list of all the jobs so I don't forget something! Are you a list maker or do they drive you nuts?
