He was a very curious bunny and the first of his litter to adventure far from the safety of their hidey hole. A bout of illness as a tiny baby saw him taken into our home and our hearts and we never let him go, even though we found homes for all his brothers and sisters. He was such a big part of our lives that he even had his own blog for a while, you can check it our here.
As well as being a beautiful boy he was gentle, caring and very smart, knowing exactly how to wind us round his little finger to get an extra scratch behind the ear or another piece of apple. Things were great until 3 years ago when he suddenly got very sick, so much so we thought we would lose him back then.
His diagnosis was an abscess in his tummy that was inoperable. We prepared for the worst, hoped for the best, and fought tooth and nail to keep him with us by way of a horrible amount of medicine and a tremendous amount of love and, to the vet’s astonishment, he pulled through.
We moved him into the house so we could give him his daily medicine and make sure he was happy, healthy and comfortable. His days were filled with love, dandelions, cosy blankets and his favourite treat ball that he rolled about the floor with a skill that would put David Beckham to shame.
He will always be in our hearts, even though he is no longer sharing our home. Rest in peace my wee man, you will be missed more than you could possibly know.
