The Bean
After crawling for about 3 weeks Mr 8 month old (as he was when this happened) decided crawling was for babies and started to stand up. All on his own! It's meant way more running about than normal but it's so amazing to see him literally taking the next steps in his development and he is super proud of himself which is very cute.
The last two weeks of the holiday were chock full of hanging out with friends and family. We went on walks, went bowling, had meals and just hung out and caught up. We had one day where all my family managed to get together before we headed home, my bro, SIL and new nephew came to my parents. Cue heaps of family photos of the boys together as we have no idea when we will all be together again. This one is my favourite, not a typical family photo but it sums up real family life!
I was determined to get some knitting done while I had peeps to keep an eye on the Bean. It didn't quite work out like I hoped, but my Mam started teaching me how to read a pattern and I'm knitting my first jumper for the Bean. Looking good so far, what do you think?
I've managed to keep up with my cooking while I was away, if you have missed my recent recipes you should check out sausage and broccolli pasta, Granny's lentil soup and the delicious Quicky Chicky Stew which is amazeballs, even if I do say so myself!
I dropped a few days while I was at home with one thing and another, but here are my favourite photos from over the holiday and the last week. I love this one of hte BEan, taken on his 9 month birthday while he was snoozing!
